Bharat Taxi App: The Delhi government will soon start a new cab booking service called the Bharat Taxi app. The government has finished all preparations and plans to launch the app on January 1. Officials said the app will work as a New Year gift for people living in Delhi. The new service will give citizens another choice apart from private cab companies.
Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited will run the Bharat Taxi app. The app will follow a zero-commission model. This means drivers will not pay any commission on their earnings. People in Delhi can use the app to book autos, taxis, and bike rides.

Users can download the Bharat Taxi app from Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. To book a ride, users only need to register with their mobile number, add pick-up and drop-off points, select a ride, and confirm the booking.
What is Bharat Taxi?
Bharat Taxi works as a government-supported project. The Ministry of Cooperation and the National e-Governance Division developed the app. The idea behind this service is to give drivers more control and respect. Under this system, drivers will act as co-owners and shareholders of the platform instead of just workers.
The app also focuses strongly on safety. It will connect directly with Delhi Police systems. The platform will allow only verified drivers to join. Passengers will also get options to share their ride details with others for extra safety.
