IFFCO Inaugurates Fourth Nano Fertiliser Plant in Bengaluru, Boosts Supply for South India

The state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated by Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO, in the presence of Vice Chairman Balvir Singh, IFFCO managing director Kiritkumar J Patel, members of the Board of Directors, senior plant officials, and representatives from IFFCO’s Karnataka State Marketing Office.

“This inauguration of the Nano Fertiliser plant at Devanahalli in Bengaluru marks a historic step by IFFCO towards farmer welfare, innovation, and an Atmanirbhar Bharat,” said Dilip Sanghani, Chairman, IFFCO.

IFFCO Managing Director Kiritkumar J Patel said the plant reflects the cooperative’s commitment to promoting climate-resilient farming practices through indigenous innovation. By expanding domestic production of nano-based fertilisers, IFFCO aims to reduce dependence on imported inputs and support the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Krishi.

With a production capacity of 2 lakh bottles per day, the Bengaluru plant is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring timely and adequate availability of Nano Fertilisers across South India. Officials said the new unit will strengthen the agricultural supply chain and help farmers access innovative inputs that improve efficiency while reducing environmental impact.

“More than an industrial achievement, this plant reflects the enduring strength and spirit of India’s cooperative movement. Built on the philosophy of collective growth, trust, and shared prosperity, IFFCO continues to translate the ideals of cooperation into tangible progress for millions of farmers. This milestone reaffirms IFFCO’s unwavering commitment to the path of ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’, where cooperative strength becomes the foundation for national development and farmers’ prosperity,” Patel said in a statement.

IFFCO’s Nano Fertiliser programme has been projected as a transformative step in Indian agriculture, offering precise nutrient delivery, lower application volumes, and reduced input costs for farmers, while supporting long-term soil and environmental health.
