A stone was hurled at the Delhi-Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express, cracking a window pane between Alwar and Rewari stations. No passenger was injured in the incident. The Railway administration and the RPF have launched an investigation.
According to railway sources, the incident took place around 4:30 PM on train number 26482 Delhi Cantt-Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express. The stone hit the window glass of coach C18, leaving visible cracks and impact marks on the screen.
Passengers travelling in the coach informed the RPF that a child allegedly threw the stone at the moving train.

RPF engaged in scrutinizing video footage
After the incident, the RPF team has become active. Video footage from around the location where the train was hit by a stone and other evidence are being collected. Railway officials said – the accused will be identified soon and action will be taken.
Security questions arise from continuous incidents
No one was injured in this incident, but the continuous stone-pelting incidents on Vande Bharat trains have raised questions about the railway’s security system. If this proves to be the act of mischievous elements, the railway may have to make additional security arrangements.
Coaches recently increased in the train
It is noteworthy that on May 22, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off the Jodhpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express with 20 coaches, up from 8 coaches. The number of coaches in the train was increased keeping in view the increasing demand from passengers.
Train receiving good response from passengers
According to the railway, even after the increase in coaches, the train continues to experience heavy passenger traffic. Train number 26481 Jodhpur-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express recorded approximately 94 percent booking. Meanwhile, train number 26482 Delhi Cantt-Jodhpur Vande Bharat Express saw bookings up to 118 percent. This indicates the popularity of this train.
