Bharat Taxi, a new ride-hailing platform, is set to enter India’s urban mobility market. Officials said the service aims to ensure better earnings for drivers and fair pricing for passengers, with no surge during bad weather. The platform will roll out in Delhi from January 1, 2026. Once operational, Bharat Taxi is expected to pose strong competition to private players such as Uber, Ola and Rapido, driven by its “driver-first” model.
