Exponent Energy Targets $20 Million in Extended Series B to Accelerate India’s EV Charging Growth

Bengaluru-based EV startup Exponent Energy is set to raise $20 million (around ₹165 crore) in an extended Series B round, highlighting growing investor confidence in India’s electric mobility sector. The funding comes at a time when demand for faster and more efficient EV charging solutions is rapidly increasing, especially in the commercial vehicle segment.

Fast-Charging Technology Driving Growth

Founded in 2020, Exponent Energy has developed a proprietary rapid-charging system that can power electric vehicles from 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes. Its full-stack ecosystem includes battery packs, charging stations, and connectors, all optimised to work together seamlessly. This integrated approach helps reduce charging time, extend battery life, and minimise range anxiety for users.

The startup mainly targets commercial EVs such as electric three-wheelers, which are widely used in last-mile delivery and logistics across India.

Expansion Plans and Market Strategy

The fresh capital is expected to be used to scale Exponent Energy’s charging infrastructure across major Indian cities and strengthen partnerships with OEMs and fleet operators. The company is focused on building a dense network of fast-charging stations to support a growing number of EVs on the road.

Exponent Energy also aims to enhance its ecosystem by improving accessibility and affordability for businesses and driver-partners. Faster charging reduces downtime, making EVs more practical for commercial use.

Growing Investor Interest in EV Infrastructure

The latest funding round reflects strong investor interest in EV infrastructure startups as India accelerates its shift toward clean mobility. Companies that can offer scalable, efficient, and cost-effective charging solutions are becoming key players in this transition.

With this extended funding, Exponent Energy is well-positioned to expand its footprint and play a significant role in shaping India’s EV charging landscape.
